Can I connect a water butt to my Lindab rainwater system?

Water butts are a low cost, efficient way to store rainwater.

The short and simple answer is “Yes” but there are a couple of options for you to choose from. Both require cutting your downpipe to allow this to fit/work so we advise you measure and cut this carefully using the correct tools (no power tools!). There is a rainwater diverter that is compatible with the Lindab Rainline system. Supplied in white or black and of plastic construction, this simply fits straight onto the downpipe. Works automatically so manual intervention is unnecessary. Click here for the rainwater diverter. Lindab also supply their own manual diverter, which is more in keeping with the look as this is made from the same material (steel) and comes in each size and colour finish. The downside with this is that you physically must change the direction of flow yourself by moving the diverter spout. But the question is, do you want functionality/practicality over looks? Only you can answer that question! Click here for the manual diverter.
