World Water Week - are you aware?

A subject so important, it cannot be overlooked

Is your tank compliant? Still running with an old cesspit? Septic tank hanging in there? It`s only right that we raise your awareness during World Water Week, such an important topic and oh so relevant right now. After last weeks news with several local beaches on our coastline closed due to sewage release and contamination, this topic is ripe for discussion. Should you keep your old cesspit or septic tank? Maybe it isn’t harming the environment or polluting the local water course….or maybe it is.

We would strongly recommend that you get yours checked out as soon as possible. There is a reason that these are no longer compliant in some new developments. Upgrade to a new and improved sewage treatment plant to keep your environment clean an uncontaminated. If you arent sure who to ask, then call 01803 866 599 and we can certainly point you in the right direction with a team of experts on hand and some excellent connections in the field of environmental waste water handling.

Here’s just one of the many reasons why World Water Week is helping to educate and raise awareness of the challenges of global water issues: Groundwater provides nearly 50% of the global population with drinking water and is critical for aquatic and terrestrial eco systems. Groundwater contamination is the presence of pollutants such as bacteria, phosphates and heavy metals as a result of human behaviours and activities, and once polluted, these groundwaters are so much more difficult to remediate than surface waters. Drinking contaminated groundwater has some very serious health implications, so we need a solution now! Better monitoring and management of our groundwater is essential to improving the health of all who rely on it.
